Football Betting Lines

07/18/2009 - Calgary, AB (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Henry Burris went 23-for-32 with 348 yards and a touchdown and the Calgary defense scored three touchdowns as the Stampeders crushed the Toronto Argonauts, 44-9.

Joffrey Reynolds had 20 yards on eight carries with a score and also hauled in two passes for 45 yards and a score for the Stampeders (1-2), who got their first win of the season.

Kerry Joseph went 27-for-45 with 306 yards and a pair of interceptions, both of which were returned for touchdowns, while Arland Bruce had six catches for 91 yards for the Argonauts (1-2), who have dropped their past two games.

On their first possession of the game, the Stampeders put the ball into the end zone as Reynolds' one-yard run gave the team a 7-0 lead in the first quarter.

The Argonauts responded with a 15-yard field goal from Justin Medlock, but Sandro DeAngelis answered with a 26-yard field goal of his own on the first play of the second quarter.

Toronto was able to make it a one-point game later in the second quarter on 28 and 25-yard field goals from Medlock, but DeAngelis booted a 42-yard field goal of his own with just over a minute left in the first half to help Calgary take a 13-9 lead into the locker room.

Calgary gave itself some breathing room late in the third quarter as Burris hit Reynolds for a 32-yard score and Dwaine Carpenter recovered a fumble on the last play of the third and took it into the end zone from 55 yards out to give the team a 27-9 lead heading into the final stanza.

Dwight Anderson made a leaping pick of a Joseph pass and raced into the end zone on a 52-yard score and a 34-9 lead early in the fourth.

DeAngelis' 42-yard field goal later in the frame and a 25-yard interception return by Brandon Browner late in the fourth quarter accounted for the final score.

MySportsbook.com favors Bears, Bengals, Chargers and Colts to remain perfect

LAS VEGAS , Sept. 28 - Two big match-ups of undefeated teams have fans salivating at the Week Four schedule in the NFL. The Chicago Bears stifling defense looks to provide a less than hospitable welcome to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday night in a battle of two 3-0 teams in the NFC conference. In the AFC, the San Diego Chargers (2-0) head to Maryland to face the surprising Baltimore Ravens (3-0) as both try to keep pace atop the conference standings. Betting Lines makers at MySportsbook.com, online sportsbook and casino, have set the Bears as 3.5 point favorites while the Chargers are a 2.5 point bet.

Of the three remaining undefeated teams, only one, New Orleans, enters this week's game as an underdog. Despite an emotional and resounding win over Atlanta on Monday night, the Saints are a 7.5 point underdog against the struggling Carolina Panthers. Indianapolis looks to stay perfect when they face the New York Jets as a 9 point road favorite while the Cincinnati Bengals are a 6 point favorite at home to the New England Patriots.

Six teams enter the week still looking for their first win, with a seventh, Tampa Bay, on a bye week. The prospect of dropping another game would not bode well for a potential playoff run. Since 1990, just three teams -- the 1992 Chargers, 1995 Detroit Lions and 1998 Buffalo Bills -- have overcome losing their first three games of the season to earn a postseason berth. And only the Chargers managed to accomplish the feat after starting 0-4.
